Wesley Snipes returns, as a half-vampire, half-human vampire hunter, still battling his blood addiction. Some idiot has created a breed of super-vampires who kill everything in their path to feed their unquenchable thirst, turning ordinary vampires into members of this super-breed.

A lot of effort was put into the costumes and special effects for these new super-vampires. This was impressive in terms of realism and detail, but also unnecessarily grotesque.

There was a superb piece of acting on the part of the henchman employed by Blade’s opponent, which was noteworthy. Also, a background love story gave the movie the depth it needed.
