Amidst an explosion of colour that is Jamaica and the sort of quality camerawork that could make the Bronx look like paradise on earth, the story of Stellar, a ruthless, middle-aged Stockbroker's love affair with a young Jamaican she meets on holiday unfolds. Whilst it might seem to be a storyline odd A to B, a brilliant script and an excellent characterization draw you in so much that by the end, there's barely a dry eye in the house.
With Whoopi Goldberg as Stella’s terminally ill friend, however corny the story sounds, this is the "Love Story" of the 1990's, a solid film that never disappoints.
