A serial killer stalks a University,
killing people in a way that brings to
life all those "Urban Legend" tales we tell each other, including drying
off the dog in the microwave. Yes, it might seem like a rehash of "Scream"
or "I Know What You Did Last Summer", but this is a thousand times better -
even when you’d left the cinema, you can’t help but glance at the back seat
of your own car in case there’s a mad axe killer hiding there.
The tale never ceases to jolt
and keep you guessing until the very end.
Filled with barrel-loads of Red Herrings and possible suspects, including a
creepy Professor, played by the same actor who was Freddie in the
"Nightmare On Elm Street" series, it’s nigh impossible to solve even though
they provide you with enough real clues for anyone with a brain bigger than
Einstein.
True, the bodies gruesomely fall
in quick succession, but each death is so
creepily original and believable, that several members of the audience,
including the woman next to me, had to be led away after going into a
screaming fit.
A benchmark in modern horror,
miss this only if you have heart disease.
